Beverage & Concessions ManagerTO LiveToronto, CanadaTO Live has an exciting full-time opportunity in its Patron & Events Services Department in the role of Beverage & Concessions Manager.Working closely with the Senior Manager of Food & Beverage, the Beverage & Concessions Manager oversees all beverage and concession operations at TO Live’s three venues. This role focuses on increasing revenue through smart sales strategies, creative menu planning, and smooth service. It requires experience in busy, event-driven settings, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to great guest service and efficient operations.KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBeverage & Concession Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of beverage and concession services during performances, private rentals, and corporate events with a sharp focus on operational excellence that supports top-line sales goals.
- Implement SOPs to ensure efficient service flow, consistent product quality, and alignment with guest expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, alcohol service, and licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with Event Management to align offerings with event demographics and rider requirements.
- Monitor product quality, customer feedback, and operational performance to identify and implement improvements.
- Manage all aspects of cash handling and reporting, including end-of-day reconciliations, auditing of post-event sales, and generation of financial summaries to ensure accuracy, accountability, and alignment with Finance protocols.
Sales Strategy & Menu Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive beverage and concession sales strategy to maximize revenue across all event types and venues.
- Design high-impact menus featuring trend-driven alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, tailored to audience demographics, seasonal opportunities and client feedback.
- Create and execute targeted promotions, upselling programs, and guest engagement tactics that directly support revenue growth.
- Monitor sales trends and KPIs, identifying underperforming items and launching corrective strategies to drive volume and profitability.
- Track and analyze per capita spending by event type and audience profile; develop pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies to increase spend per guest.
Inventory & Procurement Management
- Oversee inventory control, including regular audits, cycle counts, reconciliation, and timely updates in inventory software.
- Investigate variances and authorize necessary inventory adjustments.
- Execute cost-effective ordering for all beverage and concession areas in collaboration with the Events Team.
- Ensure procurement adheres to internal policies, food safety standards, and third-party contractual obligations.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to support quality control, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, train, and supervise front-line concession and beverage staff, including supervisors and porters.
- Foster a high-performing, sales-driven team culture through coaching, incentive programs, and regular performance evaluations.
- Promote professionalism, teamwork, and high-quality service delivery at all levels.
- Support a positive and respectful workplace, ensuring alignment with organizational values and service standards.
Other
- Any and all other duties assigned by the Director of Patron and Event Services or their designate
- Serve as an active member of the Patron and Event Services Management Team, supporting departmental objectives and fulfilling on-the-floor managerial duties during events as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Smart Serve Certified (required)
- 5+ years of experience in food & beverage operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience in live entertainment, cultural venues, or high-volume hospitality is an asset
- Proven success in driving sales through promotions, upselling, and smart menu planning
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing, guest-focused teams
- Solid knowledge of liquor laws and licensing regulations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and familiar with POS, inventory, and event management systems
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to move quickly for entire shift.
- Must be familiar with working in a union environment and aware of the working conditions in the Collective Bargaining agreement.
- Variable hours of work depending on performance and event schedules
- Travel between TO Live venues as required.
