Description: A lecture and laboratory course providing an overview of the origins and cellular basis of life, genetics and molecular biology, evolution and the diversity of microorganisms. Note: that both BIOA01H3 and BIOA02H3 must be completed prior to taking any other Biology course.

Successful candidates should have or be near completion of their Ph.D. Candidates should have teaching experience in molecular biology, genetics and evolutionary biology.
Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
Specific duties involve preparing lectures, conducting lectures, preparation of the mid-term and final exam, attendance at all exams, holding office hours and all administrative duties associated with grade collection and course management.
Please note all course elements are in person at the UTSC campus. There are no hybrid options in the Department of Biological Sciences at UTSC for lectures, tutorials, laboratories or exams.
