Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Director of Centralized Sales, Fairstone Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Financial: Contribute to the profit and loss of the business by meeting and surpassing key performance objectives which includes the sale of additional net new cash, creditor insurance and optional products, by sourcing and providing lending solutions to existing and new customers, plus facilitating application processing of various digital and strategic initiatives as available.
  • Non-Financial: Create solid and enduring customer relations by providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring at every customer contact point our products and services are being effectively and appropriately offered to positively impact the customers financial situation/solve for a financial need. Actively support the testing of strategic initiatives and refinement of new processes, while also providing support to the Branch Network as required to service customers.

Key operational responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Developing new sources of business through outbound customer contact to existing customers and sales leads housed in our custom worklists, in addition to soliciting for new and renewal business on all customer interactions.
  • Providing knowledge and expertise to employees regarding loan and insurance products and credit during the loan application process to identify additional financial needs to ensure the appropriate lending solution is offered unique to every customer and to ensure we can evaluate each application appropriately for credit worthiness and optimization.
  • Drive individual production goals with outbound and inbound sales activities, including building relationships with internal partners.
  • Relationship Management with key partners such as Branch Network, Centralized Strategy teams, External Vendors, Project Management, Finance, and Marketing, while being focused on the development and delivery of digital initiatives designed to increase new net cash for Fairstone.
  • Utilizing strong attention to detail to work closely with executive and senior management teams to establish, communicate, and facilitate business opportunities
  • Attract, hire, retain and develop talent and lead a team of digital loan specialists to meet performance targets, managed within pre-determined SLAs, optimization strategies, as well as the implementation of training and coaching programs, contests, recognition programs.
  • Ensuring all activities are conducted with compliance to governing regulations, internal policies and procedures, while maintaining high degree of confidentiality of client information and compiling to policies on customer confidentiality.

The minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • College Degree (BS/BA with coursework in Business preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Directly related work experience with three to five years of sales & finance experience (consumer finance industry preferred); or one-year previous management experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal, written and listening skills in English and French. Must be able to communicate with our customers across Canada
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and work directly with people in a sales capacity.
  • Train, develop and motivate a technologically savvy staff.
  • Optimistic, can-do attitude with a desire to win, results-oriented, strong work ethic.
  • Meet all state specific mandatory licensing, certification, training, or other requirements.
  • Work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
