What you’ll be doing:
Sources product and builds presentations using a preferred network of domestic and offshore vendors, works closely with Account Managers, and Sales Manager to provide solutions back to customers
Works independently as a project owner on large selling opportunities
Works closely with vendors coming up with new ideas and builds merchandising story boards for specific projects
Collaborates and assists sales in developing the merchandising strategy for customer programs.
Monitors consumer retail trends across channels (print/social) to develop customer newsletters and branded merchandise that will support various customer’s brand objectives.
Remains current on preferred and industry supplier products and services.
Be our customers’ brand advocate – responsible for ensuring products meet customer brand and compliance guidelines.
Attends off-site client meetings, makes presentations to customers and when necessary, unpacks/packs boxes or packages to show merchandise or catalogues at client or vendor events
Conduct product movement and category analysis and utilizes this data along with demographic information and retail trends to drive merchandising recommendations.
Adhere to and develop expertise on product safety & compliance guidelines and processes.
Control and maintain margins within set guidelines by program.
Ensure smooth working and customer satisfaction by working with members of the sales team, account services, and sales support teams across the business
Some travel is required in the GTA, client meetings, vendor presentations and team meetings
Work overtime as required to meet deadlines and provide team coverage upon request.
What you bring to the table:
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with a flair for presenting
An innate love for product and sourcing with an agile understanding to adapt products and solutions to relevant trends.
Awareness on relevant issues and ability to use them to provide purposeful and intentional products and solutions.
Inclusive and team spirited working with an ability to build collaborative relationships and trust through open communication

Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and changing work environment and under tight deadlines

Proficient use of Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
Qualifications:
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of purchasing / buying / merchandising experience preferably from the fashion and/or retail consumer goods industry
2+ Years relevant work experience in product marketing, merchandising or related field Experience in the retail / agency (fashion or consumer goods) industry preferred.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma
University or college diploma in fashion, sales or business or equivalent working experience within a B2B sales environment
