Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a cross-functional agile team delivering modern digital solutions that are simple, accessible, and user-centered. You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite in Toronto, 2 days remote) for a contract of 9 months based in Toronto, collaborating with product owners, UX designers, developers, and solution delivery vendors to define and evolve web experiences aligned with user needs and accessibility standards.Advantages

📈 Influence digital strategies, product roadmaps, and user experience standardsResponsibilities
- Lead backlog management, product design strategies, and digital solution planning
- Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and user needs
- Define test plans, user stories, integration requirements, and product KPIs
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate solution effectiveness
- Create wireframes, journey maps, personas, content structures, and UX flows
- Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and adherence to digital government standards
- Support testing and QA, including defect tracking, SIT/UAT planning, and feedback loops
- Document risk mitigation strategies, user insights, product decisions, and deliverables
- Provide expert input during solution prototyping and iteration cycles
- Lead team communications, presentation decks, and senior leadership updates
Qualifications
Must Have ✅
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile or hybrid environments
- Strong knowledge of JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Pivotal Tracker
- Experience working with balanced teams (Product Owner, UX, Dev) using SCRUM
- Experience using online collaboration tools: MIRO, Confluence, Trello, Slack, MS Teams, Zoom
- Proficiency in user research, usability testing, and accessibility (WCAG 2.0-2.1 AA)
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles, wireframing, and content structure
- Experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, InVision
- Understanding of Ontario Digital Service Standards
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have ⭐
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Experience with government digital service delivery or trust accounting systems
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or case management platforms
