Through research and collaboration, OpenEd engages in scholarship to advance the teaching and learning mandate of the University.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Business Development Manager – Canada and the Business Development Manager – International, the Business Development Coordinator (BDC) will support OpenEd’s work in identifying potential new business-to-business (B2B) opportunities and moving business trough the steps of OpenEd’s sales funnel from awareness and leads, through to handing over delivery of projects to new product development and/or program management teams. The BDC will work collaboratively with multiple staff members within OpenEd such as Marketing, Program Management, English Language Programs, and Program Development, as well as with various stakeholders within the University of Guelph campus to ensure successful collaboration across the University. In addition to B2B Business Development, the BDC will also work to enhance OpenEd’s International Business opportunities by conducting market research to assess trends within international education markets, qualify new agent partnerships for international businesses and actively identify potential new international partnerships. The BDC will also assist in developing B2C relationships with international students and families through on and off campus recruiting activities and visits.Requirements
