The Opportunity

Adobe is seeking a Business Development Executive, to build and deepen our impact within Canadian public sector. The successful candidate will play a foundational role in tailoring Adobe’s GTM product strategy for the Canadian federal and provincial markets, establishing senior government customer relationships, and identifying, negotiating, and securing strategic GSI alliances that enable Adobe to scale across government verticals.

This is a strategic market development role. This individual will focus on representing Adobe as a thought leader, and a key stakeholder in supporting the conditions to positioning Adobe as a trusted partner for Federal and Provincial government digital transformations.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop tailored value propositions that align Adobe solutions with Federal and provincial digital priorities (e.g., citizen experience, accessibility, cost savings, generative AI adoption).
  • Map and monitor large-scale transformation projects across Federal, provincial ministries in IT, digital services, and communications.
  • Build trusted relationships with CIOs, Assistant Deputy Ministers, and Communications executive across multiple levels of governments.
  • Act as a bridge between Adobe and provincial stakeholders, advising leadership on market trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Represent Adobe at provincial CIO councils, industry associations, and digital government conferences.
  • Work with our partners to Identify, pursue, and establish provincial contract vehicles and procurement frameworks that simplify Adobe purchasing.
  • Build strong relationships with Systems Integrators and technology partners who have established Adobe practices. Collaborate with partners to package Adobe solutions into integrated offerings aligned with Federal and provincial priorities.
  • Work with Adobe’s partner ecosystem team to develop joint go-to-market strategies in the provinces.
  • Provide Adobe’s sales and marketing teams with market intelligence, procurement/funding playbooks, and executive mapping to enable future growth.

What You will Need.

  • Former senior government experience (e.g., CIO, ADM, or senior director) within a provincial ministry (IT, Communications, or Digital Services) strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Federal and/or provincial procurement processes, funding models, and government structures.
  • Established network with senior department or ministry leaders, decision-makers, and influencers across multiple levels of Government.
  • Proven track record in business development, government relations, or public sector leadership.
  • Strong ability to translate government needs into technology-driven solutions.
  • Skilled communicator with ability to evangelize technology vision and build executive trust.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Adobe’s sales, marketing and partner ecosystem.
