On behalf of our valued client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Engineer (AI Projects) for a 12-month contract.Summary of the RoleThe Business Engineer will join an AI-augmented team within the Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) department, focusing on rapid prototyping and emerging technologies. The role supports the design, development, and implementation of innovative AI-based solutions to improve productivity and efficiency. This position requires strong analytical, design, and implementation skills within a collaborative, agile environment.Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of Proofs of Concept (PoCs), defining clear objectives, metrics, and validation methods.
- Take ownership of value-driven solutions, using feedback and data insights to refine and enhance outcomes.
- Conduct thorough analysis, gathering information from stakeholders, systems, and data sources.
- Act as a Product Owner to define requirements, develop user stories, and maintain a groomed backlog.
- Create design artifacts (personas, user flows, wireframes) and leverage AI for rapid prototyping and automation.
- Integrate user experience (UX) and a human-centered approach into designs to support smooth adoption.
- Track and report on PoC results, gathering data and presenting insights to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Collaborate effectively, engage with diverse perspectives, and build relationships to drive successful outcomes.
- Use analytics and data-driven decision-making to address root causes and improve processes.
- Participate in agile team activities, facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning, and lead reviews to gather stakeholder feedback.
Core Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business and Systems Analyst in a technology department.
- 3+ years of experience working with agile practices, cloud, and DevOps environments.
- 1+ year of experience with emerging technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI, ML, Azure AI, NLP, RAG applications, and deep learning frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, and rapid prototyping.
- Knowledge of agile, DevOps, automation, test-driven development, and cloud environments.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, PMPO, IEEE Scrum Product Owner, or Agile Certified Professional).
- Awareness or training in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Strong data analysis skills with a focus on productivity improvements and process optimization.
TermsThis is a 12-month hybrid contract role requiring 3 days onsite per month, with the possibility of up to 3 days per week onsite in Richmond.
