Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Information Management Specialist to join our client.Contract Dates: 12 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Range: $93.64 to $106.68 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)Job Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Implementation: Lead the design, development, and enforcement of data governance standards, policies, and practices across the organization.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform complex data analyses to support business decisions, highlighting trends, gaps, and opportunities within the data governance framework.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams, to understand data requirements, solve data-related issues, and drive governance best practices.
  • Data Quality & Integrity: Ensure high data quality and integrity across multiple systems by identifying gaps, establishing metrics, and developing monitoring procedures.
  • Documentation & Process Management: Develop and maintain documentation for data governance processes, data flows, and business rules.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure data practices adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards, particularly relevant in the financial industry.
  • Presentation & Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations on data governance initiatives, project progress, and data insights to senior executives, showcasing the value and impact of data governance on business objectives.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data analysis, ideally within the financial industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and familiarity with data governance frameworks and platforms.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to align data governance initiatives with business strategy and drive organizational improvements.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong ability to convey complex data insights to senior management and non-technical stakeholders, with clear and compelling presentations.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: Deep understanding of financial data regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, Basel, BCBS 239) is highly desirable.
