You will play a key role at one of our remote exploration camps by performing all primary responsibilities in a timely manner independently. This position reports to the Executive Chef.Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
  • First cook of unsafe practices and unsafe environment.
  • Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
  • Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
  • Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
  • Perform dish washing as per Food Safety Plan.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of all surfaces, equipment and smallwares as per the camps’ Food Safety Plan and Covid protocols.
  • Make sandwiches daily, as per directed menu plans, ensuring quality and freshness at all times.
  • Support food safe storage and labeling of potential food allergy items.
  • Ensure food storage areas are organized.
  • Participate in daily Toolbox meetings.
  • Wash and replace bed linens as required.
  • Clean and sanitize Dry Area
  • Clean common spaces at work site, TV room, dining room, laundry room

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a remote camp as a Camp/Kitchen Attendant
  • Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule.
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Able to lift and move heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
  • Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 – 12 hour shift.
