We have earned a reputation for technical excellence on some of the world’s most prominent and challenging projects.As a Structural CAD Technologist based in our Saskatoon office, you will be involved on a variety of small to large-scale projects including public, high profile projects. The role will be challenging, demanding, varied and offer fantastic opportunities for skill set and career development.Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop design drawings from sketches (determine appropriate scales, layout and need for specific details) and from concepts communicated by the engineering team;
  • Working with other designers, project engineers and project managers in the execution and delivery of project requirements;
  • Revise and verify drawings created by others, integrating the design concept;
  • Compilation of design drawings;
  • Document, maintain and communicate changes in standards and guidelines.
  • Comply with company quality control policies and procedures;
  • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced design staff;
  • Work with minimum supervision to accomplish project milestones and deadlines in due manner;
  • Provide support to other technical disciplines and offices, as required;
  • Perform any other related duties that may contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Civil/structural Technologist/Technician from a recognized post-secondary institution;
  • 3+ years of proven consulting engineering experience;
  • Experience in CAD drafting and design;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D;
  • Understanding of requirements of contract document package for construction including: drawings showing the requirements for construction of the design; specifications to define construction requirements;
  • Strong communication, coordination and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively support and contribute to a positive team environment.
