Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre is welcoming a full-time Dermatology Client Service Administrator/TA . We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering our mission to our medical teams, clients, and their pets.

About the Role

The role of the Client Service Administrator (CSA) is to support our dermatology team with their administrative tasks and strengthen the client, animal, and veterinary bond through exceptional client service and education. Your role is vital to the success of our specialty hospital! You are often the first point of contact and can leave a lasting impression building trust and loyalty with our clients. Your responsibility is to enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team. Your primary goal is to ensure the clients and their pets are informed and prepared to have a great experience with our specialty teams. You will also be handling patients on occasion.

Desired Attributes and Requirements

The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure and customer service focused, ideally you have:

  • Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties in a veterinary clinic setting

  • Prior knowledge/or ability to learn medical terminology and Cornerstone

  • Exceptional client service skills

  • Restraint

  • Submission of lab samples

  • Walking/husbandry of patients

  • Empathetic, nurturing and positive attitude

  • Skilled in prioritizing needs, open to change and adaptable

  • Initiative in carrying out assignments independently

  • Attention to detail with above-average time management skills

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

  • Strong foundation in MS Office and email, phone and in-person etiquette

  • Previous veterinary experience or graduate from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred

Schedule: Must be flexible and available to work modified shift work (Monday to Thursday 8 am to 6 pm or Tuesday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm)
