Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our Client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for machine setup, basic programming, operating the CNC equipment, and final part inspection and packing. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with attention to detail and a strong mechanical aptitude..

Duties

• Set up and operate CNC machines (primarily HAAS vertical and/or horizontal mills/lathes)
• Perform basic to intermediate G-code programming and adjustments as needed
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and part specifications
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
• Maintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
• Deburr, clean, and package finished parts for shipping
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures

Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist, preferably with HAAS equipment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks) for design purposes.
• Strong understanding of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Excellent blueprint reading skills to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency in production.
