This position demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, strong customer focus as well as a deep understanding transportation operations. This position reports to the Vice President of LTL & Terminal Operations and will be based out of Moncton, New-Brunswick or Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, execution, and oversight of an effective and comprehensive compliance monitoring and program
• Assess and analyze the operational trends to identify emerging issues and correction requirements
• Providing rapid, practical, business-oriented advice to applicable teams
• Engage with terminal teams to review areas of non-compliance, in order to develop and implement plans to correct instances where non-compliance is occurring
• Develop and document standard operating procedures of operational processes that support the compliance requirements
• Educate, coach and develop terminal teams on the compliance requirements
• Report on and review the progress and results of the compliance program regularly with senior leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related experience.
• Proven experience in transportation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
• Proficiency in transportation management software and technology.
• Knowledge of the transportation industry is a significant advantage.
