The Department of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John is inviting applications for a 9-month Term Assistant Teaching Professor position starting on August 25, 2025. This teaching position is subject to budgetary approval.

The Department primarily offers a four-year degree program in Computer Science with specializations in software engineering, networking, and data analytics. We also provide graduate programs across both campuses, a Minor in Computer Science under UNB CS Graduate Academic Unit, a Certificate in Computing, and a Certificate in Data Analytics.

Candidates applying for this term position must have a PhD in Computer Science (or be close to completion). We welcome applicants with interests in any area of Computer Science, but preference will be given to those with teaching experience in courses offered by the Department, particularly in Theoretical Computer Science and Software Engineering. Responsibilities include mostly teaching, and some assistance in university/department-wide academic service.

The salary range and fringe benefits for this position is defined in the Association of
University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022-2025 Collective Agreement
sections 35 and 36B.
