Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is looking for an inspector to join them on a contract basis in Newmarket.Description

• Perform inspections and produce daily inspection reports
• Enter inspection reports into CMS each day
• Take quantity measurements of all work performed and enter into the CMS System daily
• Perform quality assurance checks for sub-grade, granular(s) and asphalt pavement
• Record station, actual elevation, and offset from the centerline of construction in a field book
• Provide full video record (both directions) of the construction zone on a weekly basis, or as traffic staging changes
• Provide geotagged photographic records of daily work performed including incidents/accidents, potential claim, or delay situations, signing configurations/changes, unusual or critical field operations, or other situations as appropriate
• Perform daily Traffic Control inspections and produce reports to ensure compliance with Traffic Control and Road Occupancy Permit requirements
• Monitor Contractor activities for compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
• Monitor, record and file records the movement of excess soil to/from the project site in accordance with best practices “Soil Rules” and the applicable Provincial Regulation(s) (Ontario Regulation 406/19 – On-Site and Excess Soil Management made under the Environmental Protection Act, RSO 1990, c E.19 (O. Reg. 406/19)) for the handling and disposal of excess soils and excavated materials
