Job Description Summary
About URI:
The University of Rhode Island enrolls approximately 17,000 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs and is the State’s flagship public research university, as well as the land grant and sea grant university, for the state of Rhode Island. The main campus is located in the historic village of Kingston, and the Bay Campus is located in Narragansett. Both campuses are near major beaches in a beautiful coastal community. URI is just 30 minutes from Providence, RI and within easy reach of Newport, Boston, and New York City.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Manage the programmatic, administrative, and operational functions essential for the efficient functioning of the BID CAP Grant for improvement of adherence and persistence to CDK4/6 inhibitors through collaboration with Yale New Haven Health and Yale University. Oversee requirements outlined by the grant funder and ensure compliance with grant deadlines. Provide coordination of financial matters pertaining to administration of grant budgets. Serve as University of Rhode Island main contact for execution of the grant.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary contact for schedule and meeting coordination with stakeholders from the University of Rhode Island, Yale New Haven Health system, Yale University, and the community.
Participate in agenda planning, meetings, and completion of minutes with stakeholders. Identify and track completion of tasks necessary for grant success as outlined by the grant and the primary investigator.
Seek additional funding opportunities for continued research beyond the current grant period.
Collate and communicate a weekly update to the research team with respect to the status of the project and future plans.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as assigned.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers, printers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google calendar, Qualtrics, Grant support software (InfoEd), and RedCap.
Required QualificationsREQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Minimum five years of experience in healthcare, clinical research, and/or project coordination.
3. Demonstrated computer skills (i.e., data compilation and reporting, word processing, database management, spreadsheet analysis; electronic mail systems, etc.)
4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
7. Demonstrated attention to detail.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
9. Demonstrated ability to interpret institutional policies, plans, objectives, rules, and regulations.
10. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
Preferred QualificationsPREFERRED:
1. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
2. Demonstrated experience in program coordination and clinical and/or scientific writing.
3. Demonstrated experience with pre- and post-award grant administration.
4. Demonstrated experience working with oncology patient populations.
5. Demonstrated experience with grant support functions and reporting to funding agencies.
6. Demonstrated experience in a higher educational setting.
7. Demonstrated experience using Qualtrics, InfoEd and/or PeopleSoft software modules.
8. Demonstrated experience with IRB/IBC submissions.
