Responsibilities:

• Open core boxes every morning and manipulating core boxes for geologists and for storage purpose
• Measure off core in core boxes
• Cut or break core samples, bag, and prepare them for shipping according to established sampling procedures.
• Maintain logs of samples cut and sent
• Label core boxes (dymo)
• Organize storage area, and create and maintain an inventory list
• Complete technical manipulation of drill core
• Assist geologists in logging activities
• Support the maintenance of tools and buildings
• Manage equipment and vehicles inventory (ATVs, snowmobiles, trucks)
• Manage drill core and rock samples inventory
• Kept interior and exterior of core shack clean and safe and keeps good housekeeping standards in his work area
• All other tasks related to the core shack operation and surface exploration programs

Requirements:

• Physical ability to manipulate charges of about 50 pounds regularly
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Experience in sawing core and core shack duties is considered an asset
• Geotechnical logging experience considered an asset
• Highly organized and motivated
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
• Good written and oral communication
