Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our course development team in the School of Applied Health’s newest program, Advanced Diploma – Diagnostic Imaging. We are seeking motivated professionals to share their expertise in the industry, to build and enhance the program. The School of Applied Health invites applications for developing the core diagnostic imaging courses, such as Medical Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology in Radiology & Imaging, Diagnostic Imaging Principles & Procedures, Patient Care Management, and Professional Practice Foundations.This remote position will provide successful candidates with an exciting and dynamic opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to the advancement of the School of Applied Health. The successful candidates will work independently for the most part, to create and assemble course content that will provide the best possible educational experience for our students.Sheridan employees are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working very closely with the Associate Dean and the Curriculum Advisor and in collaboration with other members of development team you will be:
  • Developing course outlines in alignment with the Program Learning Outcomes, applicable regulations and standards of practice in Ontario;
  • Developing Course Learning Outcomes, specifically related to the course description in alignment with the Program Learning Outcomes;
  • Defining course critical performance statement;
  • Developing evaluation matrix and assigned specific evaluation tools to each evaluation method with the associated rubrics;
  • Designing the course content within each module and evaluation style;
  • Providing revision support based on committee feedback received;
  • Attending virtual meetings with the Curriculum Development Team;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Graduated from a national or international Diagnostic Imaging Institution / College
  • Preference will be given to individuals who hold a PhD in a related field or an MSc in the field of medical imaging or a related field,
  • An MD degree or equivalent, must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Imaging by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), or international equivalent, OR
  • Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario;
  • CAMRT and OAMRS current registration an asset;
  • 2-3 years experience as a Radiological Technologist required;
  • Excellent knowledge in Cross-sectional anatomy courses an asset;
  • Experience with universal and accessible design is an asset;
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level is an asset;
  • Network of contacts with other professionals in the Healthcare industry is an asset;
  • A critical understanding of problem solving and innovative conceptual and strategic thinking.
