Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our course development team in the School of Nursing’s’ newest program, graduate certificate – Healthcare Administration and Leadership. We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares expertise in the industry to build and enhance the program. The School of Nursing invites applications for developing core courses Canadian healthcare regulations and compliance, Healthcare leadership redefined, Operational excellence, Future ready healthcare mastering change management, an Analytics in Action empowering healthcare leaders to unlock the power of evidence informed decision making.This remote position will provide successful candidates with an exciting and dynamic opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to the advancement of the School of Nursing. The successful candidates will mostly work independently to deliver the best experience and education when developing course contents.Sheridan employees are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working very closely with the Associate Dean, Program Coordinator and the Curriculum Advisor and in collaboration with other members of development team;
  • Developing course outlines in alignment with the Program Learning Outcomes;
  • Developing Course Learning Outcomes, specifically related to the course description in alignment with the Program Learning Outcomes;
  • Defining course critical performance statement;
  • Developing evaluation matrix and assigned specific evaluation tools to each evaluation method;
  • Designing the course content within each module and evaluation style;
  • Developing course workbook aligned with SPARK and individual lesson plans for implementation with program enrollment;
  • Providing revision support based on committee feedback received;
  • Attending virtual meetings with the Curriculum Development Team;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Graduated from a national or international regulatory healthcare program. SME’s are highly considered from Nursing, Therapy, Social Work, Pharmacy and other health related sectors.;
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have experience managing and working within the Canadian healthcare system;
  • Hold healthcare regulatory designations. This is a must for applicants who are interested in developing core healthcare leadership courses;
  • Member in good standing with a regulatory college in Ontario;
  • Experience with universal and accessible design is an asset;
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level is an asset;
  • Network of contacts with other professionals in the Healthcare industry is an asset;
  • A critical understanding of problem solving and innovative conceptual and strategic thinking.
