Digital Media and Learning.Course Credits: 3Term: Fall 2025Course Description: This course addresses emerging theories, pedagogies, and practices related to youth learning through digital media and online participatory cultures. Through direct engagement with multiple forms of digital media and youth, students will consider implications for teaching and learning within and beyond schools.This course is not taught electronically or online.Location: EDUC 431(please note that course location may be subject to change)Schedule: Thursdays, 05:35 pm-08:25 pm(please note that course schedule may be subject to change)Position Summary:Official course dates are: August 27 – December 3, 2025Effective dates of appointment are: August 20 – December 26, 2025Renumeration: $11 090.00 (3-credit course)Number of positions available: 1This course is not Team taught.Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):EducationPhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and master teachers with an MA with extensive relevant experience will be considered)ExperienceExpert knowledge of and experience in course content, (as per current e-calendar description) and including knowledge of 3-portfolio design (if course section includes MATL students)Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP)Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified in the Ministère de l’Éducation (if course section includes MATL students)Experience teaching in the Quebec school systemPrevious successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the university levelOtherA commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructorsMust be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting in advance of course start datePosting Period: June 1 – June 13, 2025 (10 working days)Application Deadline: June 13, 2025, 11:59 PMArticle 15.07: The candidate shall submit their application on the University’s Career Website during the posting period specified in article 15.04a), indicating, in order of preference, on the form, reproduced in Appendix 11, the Courses in which they are interested and the number of courses they wish to give.
