Course lecturer positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between .Hiring Unit:Department of Educational and Counselling PsychologyCourse Number-Section and Title (CRN):EDPC 609-001 Psychological Testing 1 (CRNs: 2333)Course Description:History of psychological testing, theoretical aspects of individual and group testing, validity, reliability, and test construction, basic theories of intelligence, and ethical and legal issues in testing. An introduction to tests of cognitive abilities, aptitude, personality, and interests, including the acquisition of basic skills needed to administer and interpret individual tests of cognitive abilities. Students taking courses which access the ECP Assessment Materials Resource Centre are required to pay an access fee as well as the cost of all consumables required per course. The fee is dependent on the number of consumables/protocols used in each class and is refundable during the withdrawal with full refund period.Posting Dates: October 1 – 16, 2024 (00:00 am)Application Deadline: October 16, 2024 (11:59pm)Note: This posting will expire at 00:00am on October 17.   • PhD in Counselling Psychology, Applied Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, or equivalent

Expérience / Experience

  • Graduate level training or graduate level teaching in psychological testing
  • Clinical experience in in psychological assessment
  • Licensed as a psychologist

  • If the applicant has taught this course exactly once previously, she/he must have had satisfactory teaching evaluations in this course that meet the Department’s expectations. This requirement does not apply to applicants who have taught the course at least twice
  • If the applicant has not taught this course previously, but has taught in the hiring unit previously, she/he must have had satisfactory teaching evaluations that meet the Department’s expectations
  • Adherence to evolving program requirements concerning course content and program-developed competencies; course content and references must reflect the most current advances in the field
