Based on an understanding of writing as a process, key areas include: the adaptation and development of appropriate writing activities; feedback and revision; theme- and literature-based activities; and building upon reading and oral activities.Course Credits: 3Number of positions available: 1This course is not Team taught.Teaching Qualification Requirements:Education:1. A Master’s degree in Second Language Education or related area (in exceptional circumstances applicants without a Master’s degree but with significant research or professional experience related to the course content may be considered).
2. A teaching degree or equivalent and experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).3. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.Experience:1. Expert knowledge of course content and ESL pedagogy as represented in current eCalendar description, including:current L2 literacy theory and practice.teaching of L2 writing skills for the production of texts in various genres, formats and functions.understanding of writing as a process.2. Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP).
3. Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified in the Ministère de l’Éducation.
4. Experience teaching ESL in the Quebec elementary/secondary French education system.
5.
