Classroom opportunities to foster and assess creativity and problem-based learning while balancing the constraints posed by standardized testing and other evaluation and reporting responsibilities. Quebec Ministry of Education professional competencies are addressed and assessed throughout.Term: Summer 2025Course Credits: 3Number of positions available: 1This course is not Team taught.Course Schedule: R, 5:35PM-8:55PMCourse Location: EDUC 613Teaching Qualification Requirements:EducationA PhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and Master teachers with an MA with extensive relevant experience will be considered)A teaching degree or equivalentExperienceExpert knowledge of assessment principles across subject areasExperience teaching in secondary schoolsKnowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’ÉducationPrevious successful teaching similar course(s) to pre-service teachers an assetExperience teaching in the Quebec school systemOtherA commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructorsMust be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting(s) minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the course start dateA commitment to working collaboratively in planning and delivering the course, to achieve l’approche programme (as mandated by CAPFE)Other information:Course dates: April 17, 2025 – June 19, 2025Contract start date: 2 weeks before course start date.
