A brief course outline is optional.PHIL 345-001 Greek Political Theory (3 Credits – CAP 45)An examination of the ethical and political theories of ancient Greece, especially those of Plato and Aristotle.Teaching Qualification Requirements:Applicants must have completed a PhD degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program in Philosophy;Applicants must provide evidence of highly effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught or worked as a teaching assistant in a similar course;Applicants must have research specialization or competence into some of the major problems of philosophy. This may be demonstrated in one of the following ways: (i) refereed publications and/or conference presentations in the sub-field; (ii) thesis level research on one or more topics in the sub-field; (iii) prior experience successfully teaching this or a closely related course in the sub-field; or (iv) minimally, at least two graduate-level courses on topics in the sub-field.Tuesday and Thursday 11:35 am-12:55 pm, January 6, 2025 – April 11, 2025.
