- Prepare formal lectures on the multi-disciplinary study of cognitive science, exploring the computer metaphor of the mind as an information-processing system. Course material will focus on levels of analysis, symbolic modeling, Turing machines, neural networks, as applied to topics such as reasoning, vision, decision-making, and consciousness.
- Supervise Teaching assistants hired for the course.
- Assess students’ exams and written assignments.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
- A completed PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Philosophy, Linguistics or related discipline
- Must Hold a Masters’ Degree or PhD in Cognitive Science or Psychology Training and expertise in the psychology of human cognition and computational approaches to understanding the mind, brain, and behavior
- Must have previous teaching experience as a lecturer or co-lecturer (not TA) of an undergraduate course
