Title: Senior Manager, Finance
Employee Working Location: Partially Virtual / Hybrid (Canada)

In this role, you will :

Develop and implement financial plans, strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing reports, analysis and recommendations to senior management.

Provide financial guidance and support to senior management, program managers, and other stakeholders to support financial management, proposal development and decision-making.

Provide strategic financial planning and analysis to support the organization’s long-term financial goals and objectives, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations and best practices.

Lead the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders as required.

Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support grant management, procurement, and financial risk management.

Lead and support special projects and initiatives related to financial management and reporting.

Set team performance and development objectives, establish workplans, monitor performance, resolve conflict and provide coaching and feedback.

Contribute to unit operational, budget and workforce planning and support ongoing monitoring and reporting.

Identify, plan, design and adjust service standards, methods and processes to continuously improve and respond to current and future needs.

Communicate and influence work methods, processes, service delivery, and change amongst team and with stakeholders within own department and other departments/service lines.

Participate in workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning initiatives to ensure a robust pipeline of talent.

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and manage risks within their area of responsibility.

May work with vendors and/or partners, ensuring expectations are met and outcomes are achieved to budget and on time.
What we are looking for :
-
Qualifications include a minimum of 6-9 years of experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.

Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

Requires expertise in a specialized discipline or broad experience across fields, along with an understanding of interconnections between processes and business units to provide effective leadership.

Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and using Visio or other process design tools.

Leadership and team management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and inspire, motivate and engage teams to achieve program objectives.

Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Knowledge of grant management, procurement, and financial risk management principles.

Ability to provide strategic financial planning and analysis, and to communicate financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint; financial software and tools such as financial reporting software.

Knowledge of grant management, procurement, and financial risk management principles.

Ability to provide strategic financial system planning and analysis, and to communicate financial system information to senior management and other stakeholders.
