Serving more than 30,000 students per year, we offer a suite of Ministry of Advanced Education-approved programs (occupational programs in massage, personal fitness trainer and funeral education; academic upgrading; and our Transitional Vocational Programming), over 60 programs and 350+ courses to support professional and personal development in a wide range of topics, and our Conservatory (which offers a broad range of music and speech arts programming). Our courses cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to business, technology and health. 6. Addiction PreventionPlease visit our website for further program and course details:ResponsibilitiesThese courses are offered online, the instructor will:

• Prepare and deliver lessons plans and learning activities using the approved curriculum
• Lead Google Meet session(s) with students as outlined in the course format
• Provide appropriate assessment, evaluation and feedback to students
• Access the course daily (must have reliable internet service throughout the entire period of the course)
• Reply to student inquiries within 24-48 hours
• Adhere to MRU and Faculty of Continuing Education policies and deadlines
• Maintain regular contact with the administration team
• Participate in virtual instructor meetings with the administration team as required

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience working in the addiction field
• Post-secondary degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
• Working knowledge of copyright and APA citation (7th ed)
• Professional communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Proficiency with Google Workspace
• Professional industry designation is an asset
• Instructional experience in an adult education environment is an asset
• Proficiency with the D2L learning management system is an asset
