The Group Benefits Product Data Analytics team is a diverse team that is responsible for providing accurate data, visualization, and prescriptive analytics across the Group Benefits organization and our customers.
The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for owning the implementation and optimization of reporting systems that measure the effectiveness of various business functions throughout the product funnel. This role will play a pivotal part in driving data-informed decisions and enhancing overall business performance and will work closely with internal partners across product and marketing to support, to implement high-quality, data-driven decisions
The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business approach to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company.
This role will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting, analytics by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics team to follow. They will use prescriptive analytics techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of analysts analyzes product performance, member behaviors, and sentiment to uncover actionable insights that advise strategy, and customer experience initiatives.
Onboard and be responsible for the new product data platform, ensuring effective implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization to meet organizational and team needs on the product data.
Act as the guide on Product Analytics, building analytics dashboards, and reports.
Develop and maintain product reports and dashboards, integrating customer insights from multiple data sources to support comprehensive customer experience health tracking with a deep understanding of our customers, including attitudes, needs and behaviors, and drivers of product preference.
Lead cross-functional projects using data analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that supports key business decisions and provides insights proactively to identify and fill information gaps in the business.
Supervise the design and delivery of reports, insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
Ensure accuracy of data and results of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.
Lead and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as data modeling, visualization and communication results.
Supervise the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.
Key Accountabilities:
Maintain oversight of the Digital Transformation Program by tracking critical metrics, providing business insights, supervising outcomes, identifying issues, risks, and blockers needing immediate attention or intervention
Product Enablement & Reporting – Support product team by facilitating leadership / team meetings and ensuring plans and objectives are integrated across business segments.
Crafting executive level reporting – Develop presentations and reports to communicate progress, achievements and challenges related to programs and ability to meet business objectives
Work with channels to collect and synthesize information to support leadership decision-making – Support the coordination and management of projects including follow ups on additional information required from product leads based on asks from the global or segment leadership teams
Digital roadmap delivery – partner with internal team members to refine, improve, update, and promote successful delivery of digital roadmaps.
Identify areas for process and technology improvements – partner with key business and technology partners/collaborators to enable process and technology improvements that will enable the right customer experience to meet business goals
Advocate for continuous improvement and learning – Work collaboratively with the other teams to proactively share information and cultivate continued learning and development by facilitating continuous improvement
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, science, statistics or related technical programs.
Solid understanding of data mining principles: prescriptive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
At least 3 years of experience with leading an analytics team.
Sophisticated SQL, Pyspark, Python programming skills with a proven experience on data mining and data transformations.
Proven experience working with relational databases and data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI and Adobe Analytics or similar analytics tools.
Understanding of and experience in using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
5+ years of experience using Azure stack and Azure Databricks and working with structured and unstructured data.
Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to advise decisions by using analytics techniques to chip in to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
Sophisticated experience with big data processing frameworks and cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, Hadoop, Snowflake, Hortonworks, Spark, Hive, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
Exceptional data visualization and storytelling capabilities, with strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience in supervising performance and crafting visualizations to communicate trends and recommendations.
Demonstrated capacity to build and implement data analytics to generate actionable insights.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, synthesize, analyze, and disseminate complex data.

Salary range is expected to be between
$86,250.00 CAD – $155,250.00 CAD
