Story Behind the Need:
- Business group: Global Analytics Engineering The business line provides business intelligence support and supporting areas using both repeatable and ad hoc reporting delivery reports (charts, graphs, tables, etc) that enable informed business decisions.
- Project: has complex requirements to build insights on Commercial customers across multiple geographies in International Banking. Establish system information requirements using analysis of information in the development of Data-wide or large-scale information systems.

Typical Day in Role:
- Develop and maintain the overall data architecture for the cloud-based platform, ensuring it supports business requirements and adheres to best practices.
- Lead the integration of diverse data sources using Replication tools, APIs, and batch file processes, ensuring seamless data flow, data quality, and consistency.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data on cloud and other data components to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions that align with the overall data strategy.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, integration processes, and standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Provide expert-level support for data-related issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions to maintain system reliability and performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the data architecture, integration processes, and overall data management strategy.
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
- Work independently within provided guidelines, receiving general direction from the Director on policies and projects.
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Industry and Commercial Banking.
- 8 -10 years of experience in data architecture and data management: Proven track record in designing and implementing data solutions on cloud platforms, particularly with SQL MI and ADF or similar tools.
- 8-10 years of experience with data integration technologies such as QLIK
- Proficiency in integrating data from various sources using APIs, batch file processes, and other ETL tools.
- In-depth knowledge of data governance and security practices: Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Fluently in Spanish is mandatory

Best vs. Average Candidate:
- The best candidate is someone with Commercial Banking experience and previous roles as Data engineers and Data Governance.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field: Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
Candidate Review & Selection:
- Two rounds of interviews:
o 1st round – HM – 30 mins – 45 mins – MS Teams Video – The first 15 mins is for Introduction, project overview, and what we are looking for, next 15 mins to assess with questions previous experience related to Data Architech. No coding is required. The manager will ask questions about Data Modelling. No technical assessments are required.
