Be responsible for data modeling, data mapping data quality and data cleanliness in advance of the migration and/or integration activities.
Perform database analysis & database mining and develops routine as well as complex ad-hoc and custom queries.
Identify areas where data cleansing may be required by the health authorities and work closely with associated representatives who may elect to scrub pieces of questionable data before any migration/ integration run.
Perform source and target mapping – conducts discovery and requirements gathering sessions for the data migration and/or integration requirements to identify how items from the source system will be mapped to the target system.
Make migration or integration source data available in a standard format to be determined by analysis (i.e., a staging database, Excel, etc.).
Map the source system data to system elements. Identifies and documents any static cross-reference information.
Collaborate with the project System Integrator vendor to ensure the successful migration of the current source date to the new system.
Perform source system data analysis to manage source to target data mapping.
Develop and produce reports upon request including dashboards and report visualizations
Providing a high level of data quality awareness across multiple staff profiles e.g. manager, credentialers etc.
Support data dictionary alignment activities and coordinate with HA representatives for their implementation and quality follow up.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or certification in computer science, Statistics, mathematics or a related field.
5+ years of proven experience in data quality, data analysis, data cleansing and data migration activities
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java and other programming languages and associated data cleansing and migration tools
Proven data analysis and profiling experience, data mapping and transformation
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
Experienced at using data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality or similar
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and interpret data effectively.
Attention to detail
Very good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders, present findings, and recommendations, and facilitate change.
Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Experience in migrating data to Salesforce an asset.
