Job description
We are currently seeking a Database Architect for a Contract role with one of our clients.Duration: 06+ Months of contract
Location: Toronto, ON/ Vancouver, BCJob Description:
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Install, configure, and manage relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Ensure data integrity and consistency through appropriate data modeling techniques.
- Implement and maintain database security measures.
- Develop and implement data administration policies.
- Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
- Integrate data from various sources into a unified database environment.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to understand their data requirements, provide technical guidance and support.
- Working cooperatively in a cross functional team environment
- Experience in agile methodologies and ceremonies.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and database technologies.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Proficiency in SQL and other database languages.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience in database security principles and practices.
- Experience in tools relevant for database architecting and administration
- Good to have: 1. Experience in architecting database solutions in Cloud environments 2. NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
