As a valued member of TeamJDMI, you will play a key role in providing exceptional diagnostic services and ensuring the highest standards of patient careDuties

• Operates, troubleshoots and ensures functioning of ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment
• Prepares written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results. Participates in teaching, educational, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
• Performs other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care

Qualifications

• Current registration with the CMRITO and fulfilling the annual required continuing education as per CMRITO
• Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification, with maintenance of certification
• Current membership with Sonography Canada, preferred
• Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) and Abdomen (AB), preferred
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation
• Demonstrated strong inter-professional and collaborative approach to practice
• Demonstrated good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
• Ability to work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting, especially how to accommodate unexpected situations
• Ability to learn new skills, and adapt to process changes
