You’ll report to the VP, Enterprise Portfolio Enablement.A typical day would involve:
- Build, develop and lead a team of scrum masters and project managers to support the execution of a large-scale Project Portfolio of significant strategic value.
- Provide oversight, coaching and mentoring on all enterprise-wide project management activities ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
- Ensure Delivery Professionals receive comprehensive orientation, training and coaching on the Vancity Delivery Framework of processes, tools and competencies required in Project Management and Agile Delivery in order to optimize the implementation of people, processes, and technology solutions and ensure Delivery Assurance. This includes collaborating with the Director Enterprise Planning & Performance to ensure remediation is carried out as required.
- Collaborate and actively work with Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and key stakeholders across ITS and the Business to promptly identify and resolve critical delivery issues and conflicts.
- Participate in the planning process and monitor progress of delivery against plans ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed and aware of any potential risks or issues, and to see projects to successful completion.
- Lead resource management tracking and reporting, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure optimal utilization and alignment of ITS and Enterprise resources, enabling the successful delivery of the Project Portfolio.
- Drive continuous improvement within the delivery practice by developing and building strong relationships with stakeholders, executing Lessons Learned activities in collaboration with Enterprise Planning and Performance.
- Work in collaboration with the Director Enterprise Planning & Performance to develop and implement delivery practice strategies that are aligned with the organizational goals ensuring consistent application across all projects at Vancity.
You have:
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in project delivery, with a strong background in various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale project portfolios within dynamic environments. Experience in employing effective risk management and resources forecasting practices to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
- Experience in leading and managing a team.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of project management delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is a nice to have.
