The Faculty of Education invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Early Literacy or a related field. The successful candidate will prepare preservice teachers for the early years (PreK–Grade 3) through teaching and course development at undergraduate and graduate levels, supervising practicum and graduate research, and engaging in original research and professional activities that advance literacy scholarship. Applicants should hold or be near completion of a doctorate in Early Literacy or a related field. Preferred expertise includes early reading and writing, structured literacy, reading acquisition, evidence-based reading instruction, and pedagogies of literacy. Experience teaching in multiple formats—including online, blended, and face-to-face—and the ability to integrate innovative technologies are assets. School-based teaching experience in primary years, particularly in Canada, is preferred. The position contributes to the Bachelor of Education in Early Years, combined and after-degree programs, and relevant graduate programming.
