Volunteer PositionWinter Elections Coordinators (positions below)Elections Coordinators work under the guidance of the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) to manage and facilitate all aspects of election events and campaigns. Each coordinator has distinct responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation and promotion of elections. They are key players in organizing logistics and marketing efforts, contributing to the overall success of the electoral process. The Winter Elections Coordinators will oversee the 2025 ASUS Election period (January & February).Applications will remain open until October 29th at 4pm.Expected Time Commitment and Remuneration6-month term from November, 2024 to April 30th, 2025 with a time commitment of 3-5 hours/bi-weekly.If this position is subject to an honorarium, payouts will be in accordance with the Human Resources Honoraria Policy Grid 9.05.02 which can be accessed here:Please see Part 3: Hiring in the HR Policy Manual for in-depth eligibility criteria for the position pertaining to academic standing, work-study positions, exchange status, etc.Responsibilities and DutiesLogistics Coordinator:
- Space Bookings: Handle all space bookings for Elections Events, including the Information Session, All Candidates’ Meeting, and Debate.
- Campaign Booths: Manage the booking of spaces for each candidate’s campaign booth.
- Financial Assistance: Assist the CRO with Cheque Requisitions and monitor each candidate’s campaign spending.
Marketing Coordinator:
- Marketing Coordination: Oversee all marketing activities related to elections, including coordinating graphics requests and video content.
- Social Media Engagement: Utilize Instagram and other social media platforms to maximize outreach and engagement with the student body.
- Awareness Campaigns: Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness and participation in elections through targeted marketing efforts.
