Electrical Technologist

General Accountability:Reporting to Assistant Manager and Senior Engineer – Electrical, the Electrical
Technologist provides technical support and design expertise in relation to electrical engineering designs for TTC’s buildings, maintenance facilities and transit facilities.The Electrical Technologist will retrieve as-built drawings, conduct site surveys, define design scopes, complete designs, prepare conceptual and final drawings, and contribute to the tendering and construction documents. The design work is subject to approval by the Senior Engineer – Electrical. The Electrical Technologist will also provide technical assistance to TTC Plant Maintenance project management team and trades personnel on an as required basis.Duties and Responsibilities:Under direction/oversight from the Senior Engineer – Electrical, the Electrical Technologist provides technical support and design expertise in relation to electrical engineering work including power supply and distribution systems, equipment protection systems, lighting systems, emergency power systems, telephone and network systems, public address systems, automated building control systems, and other electrical systems.This involves:
