As an Email Marketing Developer, reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Messaging at our finance client, you will serve as a subject matter expert in delivering email communications to Wealth Management clients and advisors. Collaborating with marketing teams across the bank, you will gather requirements, develop templates, segment audiences, and deploy emails using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in HTML and SQL coding, paired with a strong understanding of email environment quirks and limitations.This is a 12-month contract, which requires the talent to work on a hybrid basis, 3 days per week at our client’s office in the financial district of Toronto.Advantages

Responsibilities

• Execute email marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including development, campaign setup, scheduling, testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and email marketing standards, and apply new solutions as they arise.
• Advocate for the continuous improvement of email features, processes, and automation to enhance customer experiences and workflows.
• Conduct A/B testing to optimize subject lines, layouts, and creative assets for better open and click-through rates.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure campaigns are accurate, timely, and impactful.
• Develop and maintain Distributed Marketing content blocks for email campaigns.
• Uphold email best practices while adhering to RBC Wealth Management brand standards.
• Create and update email templates and journeys within the platform.
• Contribute to the organization and documentation of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem.
• Work closely with the Manager of Digital Messaging to streamline efficiencies and automate processes for email campaigns.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar platform.
• Proficiency in Automation Studio and Journey Builder.
• Expertise in email deployment best practices, data analytics, segmentation, and dynamic content.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and AMPscript (or similar) for email development.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset, with reliability, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of privacy laws (CASL, CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
• Salesforce Email Marketing Specialist Certification.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Cloud Pages, and JavaScript.
