Engine Field Service Mining Technician-Hinton in Hinton, Alberta

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field service diesel technician to join our Distribution business in Hinton, Alberta.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner.

• Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

• Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.

• Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.

• Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.

• Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.

• Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislations. supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Education, Licenses, Certifications: Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory for this role.

• Valid driver’s license

• Clean driver’s abstract

Experience:

• Basic level field service work experience

• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

• Customer service experience

• Mining experience

• HHP experience (19L and above)

• Oil & Gas and Heavy Duty experience is mandatory

• Power Generation experience an asset

(Intermediate):

• Completes complex internal engine repairs

• Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

About the role:

• Safety Sensitive Position

• Mainly working on mining equipment, oil and gas Frac equipment. Some On highway and industrial work as well.

• 7 days on 7 days off, potential for night shift as job scope dictates and potential for on call-

• 12-hour shifts

A 5000$ sign on bonus is available for this role
