What you’ll doTeaching of up to 4 sections of APSC courses in Engineering Dept.
Take active leadership role in one or more of the following areas that may
entail some teaching release: * Develop new courses

  • Take on administrative duties related to ENGR Dept.
  • Lead research initiatives associated with external funding
  • Support University Committee work.

What you’ll bringThe successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with preference given to candidates with a PhD in-hand or very near completion. They will bring at least 5 years of experience teaching Applied Science and Engineering courses, with a strong background in subject matter specialization that includes proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, as well as manual drafting and 3D printing techniques. Experience in incorporating work-integrated learning opportunities with industrial partners is highly desirable, alongside a proven track record in writing proposals for external funding. They should also be eligible to register with the Engineering and Geoscientific BC (EGBC) in a professional capacity.Evidence of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated by teaching accomplishments and/or awards, the teaching portfolio, and for short-listed candidates, outstanding performance during their teaching simulation and strong references from two people who have previously supervised their work.Posting Detail InformationInternal or External Position External
