Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.Job Description:The Events, Experiences & Operations Specialist (Toronto) supports Sun Life’s hospitality program, with a range of in-person meetings, hybrid events, and employee experience services. This role combines event management expertise with operational support, data analysis, and process improvement to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our corporate events and experiences. The specialist is an on-site position based at our global headquarters in Toronto One York. This role is dedicated to ensuring seamless event experiences 60% of the time, while the remaining 40% is focused on supporting operations.What will you do?1. Event Support and Execution:Coordinate on-site meetings, town halls, and receptions at our Toronto YorkManage event logistics, including space reservations, vendor liaisons, and on-site supportEnsure seamless delivery of food and beverage programs, working closely with catering partners2. Operational Support and Process Improvement:Develop and maintain operational systems to streamline event planning and executionIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency-enhancing solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce costs3. Data Analysis and Reporting:Collect and analyze event data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure successCreate comprehensive reports on event outcomes, attendee feedback, and financial performanceUse data insights to inform decision-making and improve future event strategies4. Technology Integration:Leverage event management software and tools to enhance planning and execution processesCollaborate with AV and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of tech solutionsStay current with emerging event technologies and recommend innovative solutions5. Financial Management:Manage event budgets, process invoices, and perform reconciliationsAnalyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunitiesDevelop forecasts and financial reports to support strategic decision-making6. Employee Experience and Workplace Support:Support Future of Work programs, coordinating hospitality and experiencesTrack and analyze space usage data to optimize workplace efficiencyCollaborate with Workplace Solutions team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety7.
