Job Title: Financial Cost Analyst-SAP, Costing, Manufacturing

Job Description

Perform standard cost rolls and analyses of materials standard costs and other inputs to the bill of materials; present data to Finance and Operations, including insight on potential corrective actions and forecasting compared to Plan. Cost rolls and other updates for part transitions and offloading changes. Liaise with Supply Chain on matters relating to part costs, supplier non-standard charges, escalations, supplier chargebacks, supplier cost analysis, and other. Partner with Supply Chain & Operations teams to improve SIOP, optimize inventory, minimize E&O & scrap by conducting monthly financial reviews. Coordinate E&O and aged WIP reserve analysis, physical inventory process and SOX documentation. Perform various month-end activities, including journal entries, verification, restructuring reporting, to tight deadlines. Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts. Process entries related to restructuring projects. Financial reporting of inventory, and cost reduction. Apply continuous improvement methodologies to support the financial aspects of the manufacturing costing process, and other finance processes in general. Support Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard cost rolls and analyses of materials standard costs.

  • Present data to Finance and Operations, including insight on corrective actions and forecasting.

  • Conduct cost rolls and updates for part transitions and offloading changes.

  • Liaise with Supply Chain on part costs, supplier charges, escalations, and cost analysis.

  • Partner with Supply Chain & Operations to improve SIOP, optimize inventory, and minimize E&O & scrap.

  • Coordinate E&O and aged WIP reserve analysis, physical inventory process, and SOX documentation.

  • Perform month-end activities, including journal entries, verification, and restructuring reporting.

  • Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts.

  • Process entries related to restructuring projects.

  • Conduct financial reporting of inventory and cost reduction.

  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to manufacturing costing and finance processes.

  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

  • Experience with month-end close processes.

  • Proficiency in reporting and journal entries.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing variance, purchase price variance, and work order variance.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and SAP.

  • Experience in standard cost, inventory reporting, and manufacturing.

  • Understanding of WIP and obsolete reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Financial analysis and reporting.

  • Variance analysis and budgeting.

  • Forecasting and inventory management.

  • Cost accounting and financial planning.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Work Environment

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5pm, on-site 5 days a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $70.00/hr.
