Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Client Engineering – Mobile and Web – part of the Digital Group, focusing on Mobile Web application to all bank’s customers. Our team is designed to deliver products throughout the client’s journey; UI platform.
• Project: Wealth Web Work – wealth group has their online application; working on integrating functions for retail and wealth banking customers – when there is combined functionality this team will be working on features build for this app
• We’re looking for a talented and passionate Full Stack Developer to join our team. Our team is designed to deliver products throughout the client’s journey. You will be part of a team of enthusiastic engineers building front-end web applications in this role. You will have opportunities to work with all stakeholders to design best-in-class technology solutions.

Typical Day in Role:

• Current on industry best practice and secure coding
• Analyze and oversee the team’s development efforts working towards successful code delivery
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain different applications
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
• Work with Delivery Leads and BSA’s to articulate efforts and compile estimates
• Tech stack: Javascript (ReactJS, NodeJS) and Cloud Applications
• Full stack role will be 50/50 front end and back-end

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years’ progressive relevant IT working experience
• 2+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer
• 2+ years’ recent project experience with ReactJS
• 2+ years’ recent project experience with NodeJS
• Recent experience in an enterprise environment

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience with Cloud applications
• Extensive experience in designing and developing enterprise grade software
• Experience from FI/banking
• Experience with UI applications

Soft Skills Required:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Strong full-stack developer with recent experience in React and Node in banking environment, has had exposure to cloud applications

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 1 hour with Tech Lead and HM – MS Teams Video Interview – technical questions and live coding with ReactJS/NodeJS
• 1 coding question to solve – will have approx. 20 minutes – sharing screen (will be on sandbox platform)
