Primary role: Conduct ground school training for initial, recurrent and differences training for CRJ-200, Challenger 850 in accordance with approved training programs.

Ground training duties include :

  • Lecture type delivery (PowerPoint)

  • Avionics/ Systems Integration

  • Procedures Training

  • Avionics Differences Training

  • Systems & Performance Reviews (Practice Oral)

    Additional Duties :

  • Work towards becoming a classroom SME, and supporting learning environment

  • Complete Clients training records.

  • Seat support (for clients requiring a second crew member).

  • Provide input on opportunities for improvement with courseware.

  • Review and update written tests and Computer-based exam questions.

  • Train new instructors as necessary.

  • Additional duties as required by the Training Manager.

    Required as ground instructor :

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Good public speaking qualities

  • Mentor for the clients

  • Work nights and weekends

Requirements

  • FAA ATP, TC ATPL or equivalent

  • CRJ Q400 experience preferred.

  • Above average presentation and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Above average communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Above average computer skills – Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

  • Ability to focus and work in a fast paced 24/7 environment

  • Readily accepts change and adjusts accordingly

  • Experience working in a pilot training environment

  • Aeronautical experience – Previous FAR 121 and/or CAR 705 experience as a flight crew officer preferred

  • Experience as a simulator instructor in transport category airplanes preferred

  • LOCAL applicants are highly preferred.

  • Ability to work flexible hours which can include, mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends.
