In this General Accountant role in Mississauga, you will be responsible for the following:
– Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
– Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
– Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation.
– Monitor and report on inventory valuation, costing, and variance analysis.
– Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage cash flow forecasting.
– Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
– Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
– Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting.
– Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to the implementation of best practices.Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this General Accountant role located in Mississauga:
– Minimum 2 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
– A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
– Experience working with MS Dynamics including Great Plains or D365 is a great asset.
– Experience working in a similar industry is an asset.Summary
