The unit provides support to both institutional and faculty-level programming.PositionUniversity of Alberta International (UAI) envisions a campus where all students are engaged in learning about the world and understand their potential and responsibilities in a global context. This is achieved through programs and service for both incoming international and outgoing UAlberta students.As Global Learning Program Assistant (GPLA), the role will primarily assist with delivering programming in International House (I-House) and with signature events such as International Week and the Visiting Lectureship in Human Rights.International House or I-House, is a living-learning community dedicated to the development of global citizens, global leaders, and life-long friendships among 154 residents from Canada and 40+ different countries every year.I-House aims to develop leaders who are able to engage residents in building an active and inclusive I-House community. The hope is that after residents practice leadership in the global community of I-House, they will be able to apply what they learned to building a just and sustainable world more broadly in their future endeavors.Duties
