Here’s the scoop – Summary

The Global Business Partner plays a critical role in partnering with the corporate functions as well as APAC and LATAM business units. The Business Partner develops and deploys functional People plans inclusive of talent, organizational development, culture, performance, and change management. This position will also play an important role in supporting the Global P&O VP and P&O leadership team in other initiatives such as operating model deployment and onboarding program implementation. Additionally, the Business Partner will play a key role in supporting or co-leading successful transversal enterprise initiatives to drive overall unit effectiveness and transformative change. The successful candidate will demonstrate cultural adaptability and flexing work hours given the geographical spread of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically partner with Corporate leadership teams to include Finance, P&O, Legal, and Corporate Affairs to establish and deploy short- and long-term strategies based on data & analytics insights in critical areas such as culture, talent, change management and organizational development to drive business success; ensure the people agenda is deployed and effectively actioned.

  • Strategically partner with LATAM and APAC leadership teams to establish and deploy short- and long-term strategies based on data & analytics insights in critical areas such as culture, talent, change management and organizational development to drive business success; ensure the people agenda is deployed and effectively actioned.

  • Proactively leverage Organizational Development (OD) principles and data analytics to develop and deploy rigorous people plans and strategies for functions and regional teams that supports business growth and associate development/engagement; develop and engage in appropriate OD interventions that strengthen the health of the organization and enable a high-performance culture.

  • Proactively lead interventions with change management skills and capabilities to ensure smooth transitions and implementation of new initiatives within the client groups.

  • Work effectively with Champion CoE, other Champion business partners, MyP&O and Centers of Expertise (ex. Rewards, Talent, etc.) to collaboratively design and deploy interventions specific to Pet Nutrition needs, or to deploy global standard processes.

  • Flex into other areas such as operating model deployment, onboarding effectiveness, and other business transversal initiatives as needed for change management and/or team effectiveness support.

  • Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing unit specific projects, and providing P&O support to functional leadership teams.

  • Lead all key talent, culture and P&O signature process elements within corporate and regional teams as needed.

  • Act as a trusted coach and credible partner to the senior leaders within client groups as needed. Partner with HRBPs to deliver Team Effectiveness training for internal functions or new leaders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years of progressive P&O and/or leadership experience

  • P&O Generalist experience working at senior levels, or demonstrated strength in people leadership in another function

  • Solid knowledge of global and local policies and practices and understand their application in solving business needs and ability to provide guidance

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of progressive P&O and/or leadership experience

  • Demonstrated capability in deploying strategies at the functional leadership level and enterprise level

  • Demonstrated experience using the organizational development life cycle (hypothesis, data, analytics insights, diagnosis, creation of strategy or intervention, deployment, measure and sustain) or other functional equivalent

  • Demonstrated capability in leading medium scale change management (ex. functional level change initiatives)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in presentation and communications technology, such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Motivated, energetic, goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
