About This RoleProvides overall Governance leadership and reporting to the COO for Civil Aviation, Defense and Security and GTP. Responsible for supporting and ensuring the smooth functioning of governance processes, reporting, follow up actions and oversall harmonization between business units. This role will include deep integration within the Business Units and various stakeholders. The incumbent will work closely with the COO and his leadership team and will report to the Strategy and Performance Manager, within the Performance, Strategy and Performance Team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Structure and manage COO global governance & cadences to support EMC reporting Accountable for overall COO governance process and governance harmonization as well as best practices across Business Units,
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings for COO, committees, or governance bodies.
  • Prepare and share agendas, minutes, and other key documents.
  • Ensure alignment between BUs on governance templates and deliverables to COO
  • Lead governance meetings, take action points, meeting minutes and ensure governance is on time + covers planned topics
  • Ensure tracking and communicating action plans and deliverables from governance to deliver on OKR
  • Manage communication between, stakeholders, and management.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to COO leadership team on agreed action plans
  • Ensure business alignment on key actions prioritized by the COO
  • Deliver insightful recommendations for leadership team on key governance aspects
  • Coordinate all tasks in support to COO critical business activities and governance
  • Build relationships with COO and BU leaders to develop a strong network and generate work efficiency
  • Work closely with finance team to ensure precise performance reporting

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSThe role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, an understanding of corporate governance principles, and the ability to work with senior leadership.

  • Strong communication skills specifically with executive teams

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • University Degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5 years experience in project management, governance or project control office

  • Actions / Decisions have a direct impact on mid-term goals of CAE and direct or indirect implications at area and global levels.
  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organization’s objectives.
  • Solutions impact multiple business units.

MOBILITY:

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on the mandate.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Excellent English and French written & spoken
