Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management :
-
Oversee daily operations of the Global Wire Payments Operations teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing of international transactions.

Oversee centralized functions including Metrics, Training and Offshore work

Manage workflows, resources and operational schedules to maintain optimal performance.

Negotiate and help to resolve complex and/or escalated issues

Build a client-centric, collaborative and innovative culture
Team Leadership and Development :

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of payment processing professionals, analysts and trainers
-
Establish performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members.

Foster a collaborative, problem-solving culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectives.

Risk and Compliance Management :

Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) guidelines.

Identify operational risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, maintaining strict adherence to operational standards.
Process Improvement and Efficiency :
-
Continuously assess operational processes for efficiency and identify areas for improvement, such as automation or enhanced workflow tools.

Help the business execute on change, supporting adherence, tracking and realizing benefits.
Client Service and Stakeholder Management :
-
Build a client-centric, collaborative and innovative culture.
-
Serve as the escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, counterparties, and vendors.

Work closely with other departments such as Treasury, FX, and Compliance to ensure seamless payment operations and client service.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting :
-
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the team’s effectiveness and operational accuracy.

Prepare regular reports for senior management, outlining operational performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal and external clients.
Qualifications
-
Education : Undergraduate Degree/College Diploma in Business or a related field is preferred.

Experience :
-
Minimum of 7-10 years of banking experience with significant experience in people management.
-
Proven leadership experience in managing and developing large operational teams.

Skills :
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Proven track record in managing operations under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions.

Experience with process improvement and automation within payment operations.
