It introduces students to the most prolific design practices and methods used in business decision-making today. Topics include business model design, strategy design, service design, customer and employee experience design. Lessons involve lectures, case-method discussions and experiential or ‘hands on’ learning exercises. Instructional materials include case study course packs, electronic workbook and Miro board templates.Position Description: The Rotman School of Management invites applications for the Sessional Lecturer: Business Design Foundations position. The Sessional Lecturer will deliver the graduate level course using studio-methods and a problem-based learning approach. They will be familiar with Rotman’s Business Design Method, along with business model design, service design, employee engagement and customer engagement design practices. They will work with existing instructional materials, prepare, deliver and grade all course material and assignments and be available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session. They will supervise a teaching assistant; administer and mark assignments; calculate and submit final grades to university officials; hold regular student office hours; and maintain reasonable availability for student contact.Instructor Qualifications: Required qualifications are a graduate degree with a specialization in Business Design. Preference will be given to those with recent experience teaching and teaching assistance with Business Design related courses at a post-secondary institution at either undergraduate or graduate levels. Recent experience with studio-learning methods, design thinking case studies and digital instructional aids (e.g. Miro boards) is also preferred.Class schedule: Course may be online or in person, depending on circumstances, so candidates must be available and comfortable with both.Sessional dates of appointment: April 1- August 31, 2025Salary:
